Capt. Stan's favorite thing to do is wade for trophy trout, but fishing from his 24' Tran Cat boat is another option if you don't care to wade.
The Matagorda Bay is Capt. Stan's favorite area of the Texas Gulf Coast to fish. Miles and miles of open bay and shorelines with productive reefs.

10/17/2023 We fished the Lower Colorado Guides Cup today and won heaviest stringer at 28lbs. with 3 trout and 2 reds. This is a catch and release tournament using artificial bait only. This is the way to show conservation efforts by catch and release and no fish brought to the cleaning tables.
